This work has a kind of fantastic atmosphere, making the most of the face-to-face scenery reflected in the glass at the zoo. At first glance, it is a tiger sitting in nature with a slightly melancholy expression on its face, looking like it has something to say. However, if you look closely, you can see that it is not a natural environment, as there is a wire mesh on top. In addition, the photo is not a composite. The photo could have been taken as if it were a tiger in nature, but by leaving the wire mesh on the ceiling, it expresses that the tiger is actually a prisoner.
By leaving the wire netting on the ceiling, I tried to express that I am actually a prisoner. Still, by saying that I am here, alive and existing, I tried to convey the idea of connection, and resonance.
Depending on whether you recognize the wire mesh on the ceiling or not, or whether you think it is the mesh that is an illusion, the way you see it may be quite different. In your real life, are you aware of the wire mesh above your head? Or are you convinced that the net is suppressing everything?
